Reupholstery can be expensive, sometimes cost-prohibitive. But that’s not the way Kormondy thinks it should be. While she hones her skills and builds her portfolio, she can offer prices considerably lower than upholstery shops in the area but still deliver quality work.

These are the base prices for reupholstering your smaller pieces of furniture in the Philly area. Click on the links after the category to get a better idea of the type:
- Ottoman: $150
- Slipper chair or sidechair with no arms (Example): $200
- Overstuffed Armchair (Example): $275
- Wingback Chair with T Cushion (Example): $300
These prices are only for labor and some basic supplies (matching welt cord, thread, staples, cambric) and do not include fabric and other materials. However, most, such as batting, zippers, foam, are inexpensive and Kormondy only charges the cost from the warehouse plus a nominal delivery charge. Any wood refinishing, replacement of coils or webbing, foam cutting, or extra labor is additional, but again, reasonably priced.
Decorative nails, braided trim, skirts, and fabric covered buttons can be added to virtually any piece. Together, we can turn your old furniture into something completely new and exciting!
For other kinds of furniture and projects, such as dining room chairs, slip covers, and headboards, please contact Kormondy through her email: karen@kormondy.com. Sofas and couches can also be reupholstered or slipcovered, but clients must arrange their own delivery and pick up from her workshop. Smaller items, like wingback chairs, can be picked up and delivered by Kormondy for a fee.
