A secret craft project revealed!

I have been working on this wall hanging for the last two months, partly with my mom and partly on my own.  It is a double wedding ring quilt for one of my best friend’s marriage.

The four-squares where the rings intersect are red and blue, to match my friend’s and her new husband’s living room. [...]

Bridesmaid Bouquet finished, just in the nick of time

Last weekend, I finished the bridesmaid bouquet to match my friend’s bridal bouquet (seen here).  It couldn’t have happened any later, since she’s getting married this weekend!  This will be the one I get to carry since I’m the maid of honor and coincidentally the only member of the bridal party.
Once again, my camera was [...]

Table Runners for a Stylish Bride

I was recently commissioned to make 13 table runners for a wedding coming up soon.  Each 13 inch wide, 7-foot runner will go on a 5-foot round table, so it will drape 1 foot over each side.

Dollar Store Crafts to the rescue, showing all those bridezillas that they [...]

Update: Fabric Flowers Closer to Success

I have been trying here and there to improve upon the fabric flowers created here way back when (I can’t believe it’s already been five months since then).  I’m quite pleased with the following prototype and the construction is quite simple.

From the side:

And the bottom:

How to make each petal is quite simple.  Cut out a [...]

Showcase of Two Wedding Photographers

Recently, I’ve had a chance to work with a photographer in DC while consulting for Little Black Dress Weddings (website and contact information is forthcoming).  Since then, I have realized I should promote the work of two photographers I admire.  Both of these people are warm, receptive to their customers’ visions, youthful, energetic, and very [...]

Fabric Flower Experiment

A friend of mine, in whose wedding I will be maid of honor next year, requested that I try to make a fabric flower bouquet for her and me.  Here are my attempts using scrap fabric (i repeat: SCRAP fabric…i would never use this kind of print for this kind of project).
Here’s my first two [...]
