Finished Cupcake Table Runner
First, the back of the patchwork and embroidery, just to document it:
And now, drumroll please…
I’m quite pleased with the outcome. The finished size is 32″ by 14″, in case you were wondering. With a few streamlining processes, like sewing a number of the same appliqué pieces (which use the same colors of thread) at the same time, which will cut down on changing embroidery floss strands, rethreading needles, and generally switching stitch rhythms too often.
Another thing that will make the production go faster: not sewing on the bumpy roadways between New York and DC for a while! I can go a lot faster when my hand doesn’t have to stab and restab within millimeters to get the right spot to start and end each stitch.
